What to expect:



  • Presentations will be lead by a certified mental health first aid instructor and a mental health ​provider or organization representative.
  • In-person and virtual options.

Who can host:



  • Must be age 18 or over to host a presentation.
    • Gather a group of at least 20 individuals (age 18 or over) committed to attending on your desired ​date.
    • Great for community groups, organizations, faith-based communities, business or workplace ​teams, and *first responders.

MAP PRESENTATIONS

Self-Care:

Discuss the the different aspects of our lives on which we can focus our goals for better life balance. Participant in an interactive presentation on relaxation and grounding techniques. Gain insight on building resilience against burnout.

De-escalation:

Recognize the stages of agitation to successfully navigate for a better outcome. This discussion covers how to say “no” without using the word “no” and helpful ways to approach difficult conversations or combative individuals.

Active situation preparedness:

The Active Situation Preparedness class addresses the threat of an active situation by providing awareness, preparation, prevention, and response methods.

FENTANYL Awareness

During this vital awareness presentation learn about the dangers of fentanyl including the risk of contaminated street drugs, signs of an overdose, and how naloxone can save a live.
